timed road course, about 63 miles (100k) through the beautiful North
Georgia Mountains. Start/Finish
@ The Suches Community Center located in downtown Suches Georgia.
GPS Aproximate Address: 4600 Georgia hwy 60 Suches, Georgia. It's
about a Quarter Mile North of GA. hwy 180 or 16 miles North of
Dahlonega. Woody Gap High School has been made available for overflow
parking needs, Thank You.

Legal Riders. Event takes place on public roads. You Must Obey
All Traffic Laws.

Statement:
My
friends and I have attended this event for going on 30 years &
we have a blast every year. The Chemistry of the People, Motorcycles,
and Perfect Location make the True Grits 50cc Fun Run a never to be
missed Event. The Fun Run family spans from coast to coast with
entrants driving over 3000 miles to attend. Look forward to seeing
You at the next Event.

& Proceeds:
The
volunteer fire department we support is the Union County volunteer
fire department located in Suches, Georgia. This fire department
operates a rescue service and is motorcycle friendly. Our annual
event has been one of their largest annual fundraisering events. We
do not mention the fire department in our flyer for several reasons
mostly the liability of using their name on a motorcycle event. Our
"official procedure" is to participate in a cookie sale and
we buy the first cookie for about $2000 - $3000 then fun runners and
others donate generously for each cookie purchase. The fire
department has a parade to honor our riders just prior to the event.
We
make the check payable to the Union County fire department station
#5 to make sure it stays with the Suches station. Further information
